my "other" shadow...I Don't Want the Cookies…..my "other" shadow...
"Long time no see…my old 'friend'", I said as I glanced across the jagged mountaintops between us.
I'd taken a few hits, and to sustain any more damage would have some consequences I refused to face. I was wise to call in help, but this battle was to be finished on my own.
My adversary, the collective mental incarnation of the better parts of my doubts, fears and anxieties stood before me, a shadowy figure, never really showing itself to me in its entirety. He had no name, didn't need one here, I knew who he was and that was good enough.
